Motorola i475w QWERTY female centric phone features and price

Motorola i475w is a QWERTY phone with a feminine look made especially for the techno savvy women. The handset supports PTT (Push to Talk) and comes with VGA camera. The i475w was recently launched in Brazil for $240 upfront and $160 with contract.

Motorola i475w Features / Specifications

This handset sports a 2 inch display supporting 220 by 176 pixels resolution. i475w supports iDEN 800/900 MHz (PPT technology). This is a perfect messaging device with a full QWERTY keyboard with predictive text technology incorporated.

Motorola i475w weighs just 100 grams, a bit bulky with 16.14 mm thickness. The PTT technology works like a walky-talky, you press the key and you are instantly connected with the other user.  The PPT technology is not yet active in India.

There is no word about the OS used. This Motorola handset does feature a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom and comes with 64 MB flash memory and 16 MB RAM. There is a built in FM radio receiver which it seems is the main source of entertainment.  The FM radio is mentioned near the display screen.

The media player supports many video and audio formats. Other features are Bluetooth 2.0 and micro USB port. The 1130 mAh Li-ion battery gives a talktime of 205 minutes (3.4 hours) and standby time of up to 100 hours.

I don’t think this handset will be launched in India because the PTT technology is something new here and moreover the handset seems a bit pricey. If launched in India it will be priced under Rs. 15,000.
