Motorola has listed a newer version of Moto G called the Moto G Forte. It is the same Moto G with rubber frame for impact protection and Grip shell for better grip. No word about when this handset will be made available in India or it’s price tag.

The Moto G Forte could be price a little more than the Moto G handset. Forte is a stronger version of Moto G, it comes loaded with same features are seen on the G handset. The G pricing starts from Rs. 12,499 and is already a hot selling smartphone in India.

Moto G Forte may not be as popular as the G, because many consumers have already bought the handset and others who are still planning could opt for the Forte version if the price difference is not too much.

The Moto G Forte sails on Android 4.4 KitKat over a 4.5 inch screen with corning gorilla glass protection and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The handset is powered by 1.2GHz cortex A7 quad core processor (Snapdragon 400 + Adreno 305 GPU). Additional features are 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth.

Moto G Forte impact resistant

There is 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. An 5MP AF camera with LED flash is placed on the back and 1.3MP fixed focus on the front. 720p video recording is supported. The G Forte comes with 2070 mAh battery. Not sure if and when this handset will reach the Indian markets, the price difference (G versus G Forte) should be negligible.
