Micromax Yureka registration starts on Amazon.in for Rs. 8999

Yesterday, Micromax announced their first phone running cyanogen – the Micromax Yu Yureka. Not only are the specifications impressive but even the price tag of Rs. 8,999 that makes it a very good buy. It is indeed competing with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note. If you register before 26th December you will get a free flip cover.

This is a dual SIM handset with 4G support. Though you can register this handset from Amazon.in, it will be available (delivery will start) in 2nd week of January next year.

This handset sports a 5.5 inch screen with gorilla glass 3 protection and playing around with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Chipset used is MSM8939 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core @ 1.5GHz. Cyanogen 11 based on Android 4.4.4 runs out of the box with 16GB storage, 2GB RAM and 32GB external card support.

There is 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Additional features are 4G,3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The 2500 mAh battery gives talk time of up to 8 hours.

Seems Amazon.in have some issue with registration, it is closed for the moment. Micromax Yureka is also following the same flash sales method as done by Xiaomi, you need to register for the sales on on 13th January 2015 at 2PM – the same day, Tuesday i.e. when Xiaomi handsets go on sale.
