The Micromax Dual 5 handset that was launched in India today is a copy of qiku 360. Qiku had launched 360 Q5 and 360 Q5 Plus, both come with different hardware and when you compare the specs of qiku 360 Q5 with Micromax Dual 5 it is exactly the same.

So here we go Dual 5 is a re-branded phone that was already launched by a Chinese company called qiku. This handset is also powered by Snapdragon 652 octa core processor, it come with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, 13+13MP dual cameras on back and 13MP front camera.

Screen is 5.5 inches AMOLED with full HD resolution and battery is 3200 mAh with fast charging support. Micromax Dual 5 and Qiku 360 Q5 are same and Dual 5 price in India is too high at Rs. 24,999.

Micromax Dual 5 is rebranded qiku 360 Q5

No harm in launching re-branded products but need to keep a check on the price .

  1. Micromax is an Indian company and is copying other phones and telling see our R&D work. It’s a disgrace to India. Oppo and Vivo don’t create good phones and also not worth their pricing. At least Samsung and LG spends money on their R&D.

  2. I don’t think the pricing is too high considering the oppo and vivo phones ,as it is going to target offline buyers..

  3. Jaise Jio ne airtel ko uski sahi jagah dikha di vaise hi xiomi ne samsung ko dikha di. Airtel aur Samsung ne bahut loota hai yaar. Par ab nahi.

  4. Redmi phones ki quality dekh ke main bhouchakka reh gaya. its even better than samsung and sony.

  5. Ye micromax, lava, karbonn ka market share kaise pata karen? I think their market share is like 1 to 2 %

  6. Please note that the price revealed is for Offline market, this will sell for less than the MRP. in the retail market so don’t unnecessarily spread bad word for this is a good phone, Yes I agree that the price looks inflated now, but I am sure that it will be available for around 21K in the retail market.

    Kudos MMX

    1. 21K for a rebranded phone is an extremely inflated price. See the competition in the market dude. Selling this phone above 19k would be extremely difficult for this company. Micromax is perceived as a budget brand in India that doesn’t provide good customer care or any software updates. A comeback with a rebranded phone at 25K?? Micromax gonne be dead at this pricepoint. Surely it is a good phone, but I ain’t buying it above 19k!! Highly overpriced!

    2. I would buy a refurbished OnePlus 3T at 25,999 from overcart than buying a MMX

  7. Anybody knows the actual quiku cost. Simply don’t post rubbish. Quiku cost 500$., Costlier than micromax. Check in

    1. That is Qiku Q5 plus version buddy. That comes with SD820. In fact, for 2-3 days, the price is more reduced because of aliexpress’ anniversary sale.

  8. Exactly there is nothing wrong in selling rebrand phones.
But, you have always check the price point especially when selling in India.

    1. They sell it by faking ” made in India” and boasting they have made it this device by 6 months of devotion. That’s a sheer lie.

      1. One reviewer told they got patent from coolpad for copying qiku 360 design and hardware. I don’t know whether they importing phon as such or assembling all parts in India..

  9. Hi gogi ji,is there any kind 3rd party app by which I can get honor 6x type manual control on my redmi note3 camera.. plz reply

  10. Launching Rebranded phone was okay till Chinese phone makers were away from India. Now we easily get all info of Rebranded phones. Still time has not gone, majority Indians always prefer India’s own products. Micromax should setup their own design studio and software UI and testing department. They can produce parts from China (similar to Samsung and others).

  11. Instead, directly buy Qiku Q Terra, having same 13mp dual camera setup and optimized (compact) 6 inch screen, SD 808 processor, 3GB RAM, for almost half the price on Snapdeal.

      1. Mr. SKC $500 is for Q5 plus model, which has 6 GB RAM, SD 820 SOC and 6 Inch screen. Get your facts before posting.

  12. this is exactly what I had predicted when the news about this MMX handset appeared few days back. this is nothing new….MMX is doing this for many years now.

  13. Hadd hai yaar.. matlb khud ki toh creativity nhi hai…. MMX humesha Chinese phones re-brand krke india mai bechta hai… Aur fir log kehte hai china ka saman mt lo india ka paisa bahar ja rha hai…

Itane tym k baad MMX ne kuch launch kiya hai mujhe lga iss bar such mai mmx kuch apna indian made phone launch karega.. but kiya kya Chinese rebrand phone..

MMX k din bohot pehle hi chale gye the aur wo din kabhi wapis nhi aane wale…

  14. As I have said before in my previous posts Indian companies will be finding very difficult in future as there is no originality and innovation in their products.

    1. Wait and see yar….. Defiantly price drop will go and it will available for 20000….. Wait and see what will happen

  15. MMX ne itni mehnat ki h exact copy rakhny mei ki wallpaper bhi nhi kiya. kya koi Kar skta h itni mehnat.
we shld appreciate MMX for so much hard work that they had done..
    salute MMX…

    1. Koi hardwork nai kiya MMX ne! They have just forged a deal with Qiku to manufacture and sell them Qiku Q5 with MMX kogo with an Indianized ROM. They are simply importing it and trying to sell it for 25k!

  16. Why is the company not dying????? Shitty products. Shitty price… Desperately waiting to see micromax’s end. Micromax was once awarded the best and innovative design phone company when they started with feature phones in it’s earlier days… Just hate to see what the company is doing since then..

  17. If the camera is really great, I will be looking to buy. I do like the other specs, and the 128 GB space is icing.

    1. Cheer up MMX ! Here’s your first buyer…chalo atleast 1 piece toh pakka bikega….!

    1. Agree.. I am using the q5 plus since September and that way better that the q5 aka MMX dual 5

  18. Maybe MMX were hoping to gain some profits by getting their handsets ordered from Aliexpress’ 7th Anniversary sale! Qikuly rebranded!

  19. People will tolerate high price up to a certain level provided after sales service is top class which is definitely not the case with Micromax.

    1. what’s this first copy, second copy.. thing.??? it is another way to fool people. Don’t buy it’s fake.

    1. Yeah i know. It would have been good if it was below 20k . But micromax has always launched rebranded phones from its Micromax Canvas series in 2012
