Micromax today launched a big handset the Micromax Canvas Mega 2 sporting a 6 inch screen with qHD resolution and powered by a quad core processor with 4G support. The Mega 2 gets power from a 3000 mAh battery and is priced at Rs. 7,999.

The Canvas Mega 2 houses the Spreadtrum SC9832 quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This handset comes with dual SIM slots running Android Lollipop 5.1 over a big screen of 6 inches unfortunately with a low resolution of qHD i.e. 960 x 540 pixels.

Micromax Canvas Mega 2 is loaded with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM plus micro SD card support of up to 32GB. A 8MP auto focus camera is packed on the back and a 5MP fixed focus camera is on the front. Rear camera can record qHD videos but handset can play 720p videos.

Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. This smartphone comes with a 3000 mAh battery that as per the company gives up to 25 hours of talk time.

Micromax Canvas Mega 2 is priced at Rs. 7,999.
