Micromax A55 (bling 2) features, review and price in India

The Micromax A55 (bling 2) is a sensual, simple yet stylish mobile phone that runs on the android 2.2 OS. The Micromax A55 is a 3G phone and comes with Mi-Fi pocket wireless internet. You can either choose from the Micromax A60 that is now priced at Rs. 4300 or if you have a slightly higher budget you can go in for the A55.  The Micromax Bling 2 price is mentioned at the end of this article but I would suggest you go through the feature before you check the price.

Micromax A55 features

This is a bar type android phone with a 7.1cms screen (capacitive touch screen) supporting a resolution of 240 by 320 pixels with 262K colours. The screen resolution is QVGA not the very best but good enough.

The Micromax A55 is a single SIM 3G phone with HSDPA 7.2Mbps. This Micromax handset is powered by a 600 MHz processor and comes with 150MB internal memory. For storage you can use microSD card of up to 32GB.

This android phone comes with video and music player and with 3G, video streaming is also supported. The media player can play Mp4 and 3GP video files. There is a 3.5mm jack for headset / headphones. Other features are Bluetooth, GPRS, MMS, WAP and Wi-Fi with Mi-Fi pocket wireless internet.

The Micromax A55 also features a 3 megapixel camera without flash (back side / video recording supported). This is a decent camera good enough for day photography and for uploading on Facebook / social networking or sending via email.

The A55 comes equipped with Google maps and built in GPS for navigation. This requires 3G / GPRS connection for downloading maps on the go and you can also get driving directions (without voice controlled turn by turn navigation).

Micromax A55 review

If you look at the price this is a good android phone the main advantage is you get GPS, 3G, Touch Screen capabilities and the Android OS. However you need to compromise on the display and the camera resolution. Micromax A55 is a good option but the looks might keep some away from it.
