Meizu M2 64 bit quad core smartphone launched in China for RMB 599

Meizu has launched the M2 in China for RMB 599 that comes to approx ₹6,200. The Meizu M2 (not to be confused with the Meizu M2 Note) is also listed on the Meizu India website. It is powered by MediaTek quad core processor and running Lollipop.

The Meizu M2 is a dual SIM handset with 4G LTE support. The primary SIM slot is a hybrid slot you can either use a SIM or a micro SD card of up to 128 GB. The M2 houses a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 quad core processor (64 bit) coupled with Mali T720 GPU and running Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android Lollipop 5.1.

Handset weight is 131 grams and thickness is 8.7mm. The screen is 5 inches protected with AGC Dragontrail glass and supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. There is 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB storage + micro SD support (128GB Max).

Also included is a 13MP AF camera with f/2.2 (5 element lens) with LED flash and a 5MP f/2.0 (4 element lens) on the front. Key features are 4G (FDD-LTE / TD-LTE / TD-SCDMA / WCDMA / GSM), 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. There is 2500 mAh battery that gives up to 10 hours of talk time on 4G.

Meizu had launched M2 Note and the MX5 in China, the Meizu M2 looks really great considering the specifications and price (RMB 599 ~ Approx ₹6,200) let’s hope they get this soon in India.
