Sony Mobiles have just rolled out Android Lollipop 5.1 updates for the Sony Xperia M2 and the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua smartphones. The roll-out began yesterday as reported by some users and the update will be passed on to other Xperia M2/ M2 Aqua users in a phased manner.
The Xperia M2 / M2 Aqua were running KitKat and now entitled for the Lollipop 5.1 update. If you are using the M2 or the M2 Aqua and if you have not yet got the update notification, don’t worry you will get it sooner or later, these updates are not rolled out immediately on all the devices but done in a slow and steady manner.
Once you get the update notification, do download the update using a good net connection preferably WiFi and before starting the update process, make sure to keep the battery level at over 75%. You can also take backup of your data, though that is really not required.
