LG electronics have revealed their next handset called the Optimus LTE II that sports a trueHD IPS screen with resolution of 720p and a thickness of just 8.9 mm. This handset will be powered by a dual core processor and will run on the ICS – android 4.0 OS.

There is no word as to when the LTE II will be officially launched. But this android smartphone comes with some really cool features like the (optional) wireless charging pad if you are willing to spend some extra amount.

This Optimus handset weighs 145 grams with an 8.9 mm thickness. The touchscreen display is 4.7 inches with resolution 1280 x 720 pixels. The Optimus LTE II comes with 2 GB DDR RAM proudly claiming to be the world’s first.

This LG handset is powered by a dual-core processor (Krait CPU) Qualcomm MSM8960 chip clocked at 1.5 GHz running Android 4.0. Other common features that will be included are Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, USB and 3.5 mm jack. There will be a front facing camera of 1.3 MP resolutions along with a rear facing 8 MP with full auto focus and LED flash.

A 2150 mAh battery will power this handset and LG claims that the battery is powerful enough to give a talktime of about 10 hours and a standby time of about 10 days on a full charge. A 40% increase in battery performance as compared with its predecessors.
