LG unveiled the LG Optimus 4X HD smartphone running on the android 4.0 OS and proudly claims to be the first handset to feature a NVIDIA quad core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. This handset comes with some amazing high end features all packed into an 8.9 mm thin body.

LG recently disclosed 2 new 3D handsets namely the Optimus 3D Max and Optimus 3D Cube which will be showcased at the upcoming WMC event. The LG Optimus 4X HD runs on the Ice Cream Sandwich a.k.a. Android 4.0 OS. The 1.5 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor is not only blazingly fast but also consumers less power thereby increasing the battery life.

Another attraction is the 4.7 inch True HD IPS Touchscreen display supporting resolution of 1280 x 720 Pixels. The Optimus 4X HD will come with 16 GB on-board mass storage plus 1 GB RAM along with microSD card support up to 32 GB.

This is a high end phone that comes with impressive 8 MP rear camera and a front facing 1.3 MP resolution camera for video calling. Other features are built in FM radio, media player that supports multiple audio and video formats, Bluetooth, USB 2, Wi-Fi and GPS.

The LG Optimus handset is quite thin and gets powered from a 2150 mAh battery. This is all we know for now, this handset will be revealed at the MWC next week and probably LG may also unveil the launch dates, more detailed specifications and the price.
