Lenovo has started rolling out Marshmallow Android 6.0 update on the Lenovo A7000 smartphone. Some users have already confirmed getting the update. This is a OTA (over the air) update, make sure to download it using WiFi.

Marshmallow Update on Lenovo A7000 is on the way. If you are using the A7000 handset you might have already got the notification or you will get it within few days. These updates happen in sequential manner so wait for few more days if you haven’t got the update.

It’s the A7000-a_S153_151127_ROW_TO_A7000-a_S223_160405_ROW file that is around 1359MB (1.3GB). Make sure to use WiFi connection and install the updated only when the battery level is over 75%.

Marshmallow update in general applies different logic to SD card and hence if you had stored data / apps on external SD card the Marshmallow update will erase that, so make sure to take a backup of your data.
