Lenovo A1000L a Wi-Fi enabled tablet with 8GB storage is available for Rs. 6,999. The A1000L does not come with built in SIM slots. The Lenovo A1000 an older version with the same hardware, 4GB internal storage, Wi-Fi and 2G support (SIM slot) is available for Rs. 6,940.

In fact both the tablets are price almost the same with minor changes you either choose from 4GB with 2G support or 8GB without 2G support. The Lenovo A1000L is powered by 1GHz dual core MediaTek MT8317 chipset. The touchscreen display is 7 inches supporting  1024 x 600 pixels resolution.

It runs on Android 4.1 jelly bean OS with 512MB RAM and 8GB storage. The A1000L weighs about 340 grams and is 10.7mm thick. There is a single camera – a front camera of VGA resolution. Key features are micro USB port, Wi-Fi (b/g/n) and 3.5mm audio jack.

There is a built in battery of 3500 mAh capacity that should last for about 4 to 6 hours of continuous usage.

The Lenovo A1000L now available on Flipkart for Rs. 6,999. It makes sense to go for the 2G version that can also be used as a phone though the A1000 is with 4GB storage. And since micro SD card of up to 32GB is supported storage should not be an issue.
