Lava launched a new handset in the Iris Fuel series, it’s called the Lava Iris Fuel 20. The handset is powered by dual core processor and comes packed with a massive battery of 4400 mAh capacity. This is for users looking for a smartphone with low end features but with better battery backup.

The Fuel 20 houses a 1.3GHz dual core processor running KitKat 4.4 with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. There is micro SD slot to add up to 32GB external storage card. Fuel 20 comes with a 5 inch screen with 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) resolution.

This smartphone also comes packed with a VGA front facing camera and a 5MP camera on the rear with LED flash. The rear camera can shoot 720p videos. Key features are 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.

The hardware is not that powerful, it is dual core, dual SIM but with 2G support, 3G is not supported. Now if you look at the processor and 2G support the battery of 4400 mAh is more than sufficient and should gives a very good battery backup.

Lava Iris Fuel 20 will be available soon (next week) for Rs. 5,399 with free flip cover.
