Plugin your wired network cable into the RJ45 port on the back and you will be able to share the net with multiple devices (up to 8). For more info on connecting wired network check here.

You can also share data from a pendrive and / or from the SD card. Plug in pendrive into the USB port and SD card / micro SD card (using micro SD card adapter) into the SD card slot. Now to access the contents you will need to download the Kingston MobileLite app from Google Play (app also available for iOS devices) on your smartphone or tablet.

Once installed you will need to connect your smartphone / tablet Wi-Fi to the Wireless G2 network (check video review). Once connected to the G2 network you will be able to access the SD card content as well as the USB pendrive content. You can also connect a HDD drive via USB and share data on multiple devices.

When you connect your smartphone using the USB port, you can not only charge the smartphone but also access its content / share it with other devices.

Performance is good, though the Wi-Fi range is a little less but since it is a portable device you have the option to bring it closer to other devices you are sharing the data with.

Battery
There is a 4640 mAh built in battery that takes over 3 hours to fully charge, use the micro USB port to charge the device. You can expect battery backup of 4 to 7 hours depending on your usage and the devices that are connected to the G2. You can connect HDD (up to 2TB) but that will drain a lot of battery juice.

The 4640 mAh battery can charge smartphones with 2000 mAh battery for up to 2x times.

Verdict
If you are occasionally sharing data with multiple users or if you want a portable router with additional functionality then the Kingston MobileLite Wireless G2 is a good option for ₹3,399.
