Jiayu the Chinese brand will launch the Jiayu G2S handset, a dual core (MTK6577 powered) with a 4 inch IPS screen for Rs. 8,000. The Jiayu company will also launch quad core handsets – the Jiayu G3 and G4, probably by 12th of this month.

This is a dual SIM handset with a 4 inch IPS screen, supported resolution of 960×540 pixels with 16M colours. The CPU is MTK6577 cortex A9 dual core clocked at 1.2GHz with PowerSGX 531GPU running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean over 1GB RAM and with 4GB internal storage.

The handset is 9.9mm thick and weight is 145grams. There is 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a front VGA camera. Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, micro USB and 3.5mm jack. There is a battery of 2200 mAh capacity.

Price Rs. 8,000.

This quad core handset will sport a 4.5 inch screen with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It will come with 8MP camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The Jiayu G3 is priced at Rs. 11,500 and according to the company the handset looks somewhat like the BlackBerry Z10.

The G4 is another quad core (MTK6589) with 1GB RAM and 4GB / 32GB (optional) internal storage. The 4.7 inch IPS screen comes with Corning Gorilla glass II protection. The supported resolution is 1280×720 pixels (312ppi) with 16M colors.

This is a dual SIM handset with dual standby mode. The G4 comes with 3MP front camera and a rear 13MP camera with LED flash. The handset is 8.2mm thick (ultra narrow metal frame). The weight is around 160 grams. Other features included are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB and 3.5mm jack. The battery is of 1800 mAh capacity.

The 4GB Jiayu G4 is priced at Rs. 12,500 and as for the 32GB storage price – it’s not yet been disclosed. The Android Guruz store will be functional this month.
