Intex Mobiles have introduced another low budget smartphone called the Intex Aqua T2 that is priced at just Rs. 2,699 and it runs KitKat out of the box. The handset will be made available (online) within few days.

At this price tag the Aqua T2 becomes the cheapest handset running Android 4.4.x OS. The T2 houses MediaTek dual core processor (MT6571) with Mali 400 GPU. The hardware is good enough to run the KitKat OS with 256 MB on board RAM and 512MB of internal storage. Of the 512MB users might get under 200MB space for apps but they can use the Micro SD card slot to add external storage space of up to 32GB.

The Intex Aqua T2 also comes packed with 2MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a front facing camera of VGA resolution. So far so good, unfortunately the T2 does not support 3G. Key features are 2G (EDGE/GPRS), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and probably GPS.

There is built in FM radio and the 1200 mAh battery should give a decent usage time on a single charge. The Aqua T2 will be made available on Flipkart in Black and Grey colour options for Rs. 2,699.
