Intex mobiles has launched a new handset the Intex Aqua i6 that comes powered by a new breed of quad core chipset – low cost MT6582. This handset runs on Android 4.2.2 and is priced at under Rs. 9,000 – Rs. 8,990 to be precise.

The 1.3GHz dual core handsets have already flooded the market, and within few weeks we could find more of the new low cost 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad core chipset that also comes powered by Mali 400 MP2 GPU.

The Intex Aqua i6 runs on Jelly Bean 4.2.2 with 4GB storage and 512MB RAM, with micro SD card support of up to 32GB. This dual SIM handset comes with 8 megapixel rear camera and with LED flash support plus a front camera of 2 megapixel resolution for video chats.

The Aqua i6 sports a 5 inch screen with 854×480 pixels resolution. Other key features included 3G, 2G (GPRS/EDGE), Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. There is 1900 mAh battery that gives a talk time of up to 6 hours on a single charge.

The Intex Aqua i6 will be available soon for Rs. 8,990 and will come with many pre-loaded apps and access to 5GB free Intex cloud storage.
