iBall mSLR Cobalt 4 with 4 detachable lenses launched for Rs. 8500

iBall has launched an interesting smartphone called the iBall mSLR Cobalt 4. As the name suggest (mSLR ~ mobile SLR) the handset comes with 4 detachable lens. This is an octa core powered smartphone running KitKat out of the box.

Though the iBall mSLR smartphone may look like an SLR camera, don’t expect the SLR type quality, probably it might be able to capture better pictures with better zoom / other features. There are different lens attachments – an 8X zoom lens, macro lens with magnification (10x), fish eye lens and wide angle lens (130 degree).

When it comes to hardware the handset is powered by a good 1.4GHz octa core processor (unspecified), probably MediaTek or Spreadtrum. Screen is 5 inches supporting 960 x 540 pixels resolution. Handset is running Android 4.4 with 8GB of internal storage and 1GB RAM. There is micro SD support of up to 32GB.

This dual SIM handset comes with an 8MP AF camera on the rear with dual LED flash plus you can attach the lens. There is front camera of 3.2MP resolution. Front camera also comes with LED flash support.

Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The mSLR Cobalt 4 gets power from a 2000 mAh battery.

iBall mSLR Cobalt 4 carries a price tag of Rs. 8,499 and will hit the stores soon.
