HTC’s Desire C will soon be made available in India. This is a low cost entry level phone for budget conscious users. The main attraction is the ICS OS, a 5 MP camera and Beats Audio technology.

HTC will keep the cost at the lowest possible probably under Rs. 15,000. This is a low cost handset and hence comes with some low end features like the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor that is clocked at 600 MHz along with 512 MB RAM.

This handset will run on the Android 4.0 a.k.a ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Desire C has got a distinct HTC look with the HTC logo on top, the touchscreen and the three dedicated touch sensitive buttons for navigation.

Just like HTC One V and HTC One X that are already available in the market, the Desire C will also come integrated with Beats Audio technology. A 600 MHz (single core) processing power to run ICS with HTC Sense UI, I am not sure how well it could perform, add to it there is a built in 4 GB internal memory.  The display screen is 3.5 inches with 320 by 480 pixels resolution (HVGA) which seems good for the price. Other features are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio and 3.5 mm jack.

5MP camera on the Desire C

This HTC handset comes with a decent rear facing camera with 5 megapixel resolutions plus a front VGA camera. Users will also get 2 years free subscription of Dropbox storage (25 GB). Many apps can be downloaded from the Google Play. A 1230 mAh Li-ion battery is what power up this handset.

HTC Desire C price is not known but estimated to be under Rs. 15,000.
