HP’s 7 Plus low budget tablet is now available in India for Rs. 5,999. This a 7 inch tab powered by quad core processor without a SIM slot and it runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 out of the box.

On the hardware front the HP 7 Plus is using the AllWinner A31 quad core cortex A7 processor clocked at 1GHz. It is running outdated Jelly bean 4.2.2 with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB storage. There are no SIM slots and hence no direct 3G support or phone features. A micro SD slot however is preset that supports 32GB external cards.

The LCD capacitive touch screen is of standard 7 inches in size with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. This tablet also comes with 2MP rear fixed focus camera and a 0.3MP front camera. Key features are Wi-Fi (b/g/n), micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. USB OTG and USB tethering is supported as per the specs on the Flipkart website. The Flipkart site also mentions Bluetooth tethering, but I doubt if Bluetooth will be present.
