The Honor 7X has finally been launched in India. This handset is priced at Rs. 12,999 with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The 7X is competing with the Mi A1 handset and both these handsets for now are priced the same. Check this Honor 7X review to know how good the handset is.

For the price of Rs. 12,999 the build and finishing of this Honor 7X is just mind blowing. It looks and feels like a premium phone, plus the 5.93 inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio gives an extended usage experience.

One feels good when they hold the Honor 7X for the first time, plus the price tag will add extra smile on your face. Having said that not everything is really good on this handset. Talking about performance it is decent, camera is also decent at times works great but I was expecting more out of the camera.

Honor 7X Gaming Review

I played Asphalt 8 in high quality mode it lagged, game play was not that smooth. The game played well in medium quality mode.

Honor 7X  Camera  Review

Rear Camera : 16MP + 2MP, auto focus, LED flash
Front Camera : 8MP
Video Recording : FHD resolution

There are dual cameras on the back and there are two modes Wide aperture and Portrait mode. I did not find any difference among these two mode. When using dual camera mode the bokeh effect is not that happening, plus the edges on the subject in focus is not at all sharp. Other good dual camera phones do a better job.

Honor 7X dual cameras

In general the camera quality is excellent, but was expecting more out of the dual camera mode. Low light shots are great if you use the specific mode. There are lot of professional modes. Try using a tripod with night shots you will be amazed at the quality.

Honor 7X can shoot FHD videos, video quality is good and the front selfie shots are okay. If you check the selfie shots the background is more sharper than the selfie subject.

Camera Rating : 4.2 out of 5

Verdict

The best thing on the Honor 7X is the looks, the premium feel and the 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Now This handset is competing with the Mi A1. So which one is the best. Let me make it simple – Honor 7X looks are missing on the Mi A1 and the Mi A1 performance is missing on the Honor 7X.
