Google will soon launch their first Nexus tablet (Google Asus) with a 7 inch scratch resistant screen which will run on the latest Jelly Bean a.k.a. Android 4.1 OS. The tab will be powered by a quad core processor with a 4325 mAh battery.

The Google Nexus 7 what it is being called (rumored), will house the Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU with a powerful 12 core GPU with 1 GB RAM. There will be a front camera of 1.2 MP resolution, built in Wi-Fi, micro USB port and NFC support.

The specifications look very good especially the display resolution which is 1280 by 800 pixels (HD display). However there are few things that the tab is missing, it does not support 3G/4G, not sure if it will support external dongle.

The battery mAh capacity is really good and should last for over 7+ hours or even more with the new Jelly Bean OS. Since there is no microSD slot (you cannot use external storage card), I think the tab will come with built in storage which will be of a higher capacity probably 8 / 16 GB and over.

There should be no doubt about the performance and the battery life, its power packed. As with every other android tab this one will also come pre-loaded with optimized maps, YouTube player, chrome browser and many other Google services.

This tab will be available from July 2012. The 8 GB Nexus 7 version will cost $199, and 16GB for $249.
