Android Jelly Bean 4.3 was in the news for quite some time, it was but natural, the next Android OS from Google. And now it’s been officially confirmed. In fact the recently announced Google Nexus 7 tablet will sail on this new 4.3 version.

What’s new in Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS?

There is not much of a difference between the Android 4.2 and 4.3 OS. There are some minor changes / improvements. Some changes have been made to the notification area and 3rd party apps can now access these notifications.

3D graphics has improved on 4.3 thanks to OpenGL ES 3.0 support. There are bug fixed on 4.3 and some enhancements on Bluetooth 4.0 module for better performance and longer battery life. If location is enabled the OS will use the Wi-Fi occasionally even when it’s switched off.

The 4.2 did support multi user and so does the 4.3 with restrict profiles wherein the super user (main user) can create a user account and allow only selected access to content / apps. There are some more improvements like easier text input, dual pad auto complete, user switching (just like on windows desktop) and additional language support including Hindi.
