Gionee have launched a low end – low cost phone with a massive battery capacity of 3000 mAh, with a price tag of Rs. 2,599. The simple phone (not an android phone) with new GUI will support social networking sites.
This handset is for those looking for a simple phone with excellent battery life. The Gionee L800 comes with 128MB + 64MB memory. The bar type handset runs on 6250 platform with new GUI . Widgets are supported and the handset also features the Idle buttons a new way to unlock.
The handset can store 1000 phone-book in its memory. Facebook, Opera mini, Twitter and Yahoo messenger are supported. The L800 handset will be available in Golden and black colors. Other features are dual SIM, 2G, media player (MP4 support), 1.3MP rear camera and FM radio.
The key highlight is the battery of 3000 mAh the best in the class and according to Gionee the handset will easily last for a month on a full charge. The Gionee L800 is priced at Rs. 2599 with 4GB SD card and a phone pouch for free.
