Gionee might soon come up with the Gionee GN9000 octa core handset. As per the leaked report by mtksj.com, the GN9000 will be just 5.8mm thick and will come powered by MT6592 chipset. 

There is no official word from Gionee and as per the rumors the handset will sport a 5 inch screen using the AMOLED technology. The screen resolution will be 1920x1080p (full HD) with DragonTail glass protection. The GN9000 will support WCDMA and TD-SCDMA networks, in India it will be the WCDMA version.

The processor is MediaTek MT6592 clocked at 1.7GHz. Handset will run on Android 4.2 (Amigo UI) with 2GB on-board RAM and 16GB storage. The rear camera will be of a 12.8 megapixel resolution and front camera of 5MP resolution. Micro SD card is supported.  GN9000 weight is about 128 grams with battery.

Other common features included are 3G (HSPA+), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio and probably NFC. Battery mAh is not known. We will have to wait for official announcement that could happen next month – February. Stay tuned.
