FEICE FM202 Review: A ₹16,000 Automatic Watch With a Fuel Gauge on Its Dial

The FEICE FM202 looks like a simple dress watch at first glance. It has a clean white dial, slim blue hands and a brown leather strap. But look closer and you will spot something unusual: a 35-hour power reserve indicator that works almost like a fuel gauge. I have been trying this Bauhaus-style automatic watch, and that little display is easily one of its most interesting features.

FEICE FM202 Price in India

The white-dial and brown-strap version was listed at ₹16,659 during the festive sale, compared with an MRP of ₹25,999. That makes the quoted discount roughly 36%. This is a sale price noted at the time of the review, not a guaranteed live offer. Check the FEICE FM202 price and availability here.

What Makes a Bauhaus Watch Different?

Bauhaus design comes from a German school of art and design known for keeping things practical and uncluttered. On a watch, that usually means fine hands, simple hour markers and plenty of open space on the dial. The FM202 follows that idea but adds a visible power reserve display, small seconds and a date window.

FEICE FM202 Unboxing Experience

The watch arrives in a neat presentation box with a watch tag and instruction booklet. It feels thoughtfully packed, which matters when you are buying a watch in this price range or considering it as a gift.

Design, Case and Leather Strap

The FM202 uses a 42mm stainless steel case. The case itself is about 11mm thick, while the overall profile is listed at approximately 14mm. The white dial keeps it looking balanced, although people with smaller wrists may still find 42mm a little large.

My version has a tan genuine-leather strap that works well with everyday clothes and also looks smart with a shirt. The blue hands bring just enough colour to a design that otherwise stays very simple.

2.5D Domed Mineral Glass

The curved mineral crystal gives the watch a vintage character. Instead of a completely flat surface, the glass rises gently and catches reflections around the edges. It adds charm, though mineral crystal can scratch more easily than sapphire, so it is worth treating the watch with care.

The 35-Hour Power Reserve Indicator

This is the feature that makes the FM202 memorable. At the upper part of the dial, a small hand moves across a numbered scale to show how much stored energy remains. Think of it as a fuel gauge for the watch. When fully wound, the movement is rated for roughly 35 hours of running time.

Turn the crown to wind the movement and you can see the indicator rise. Wearing the watch also winds it as your wrist moves. It is a small mechanical detail, but it makes the experience more enjoyable than simply checking the time.

How the Automatic Movement Works

The FM202 is a self-winding mechanical watch, so it does not need a battery. A spring stores the energy required to move the hands, while a weighted rotor inside the movement turns as your arm moves. That rotor helps wind the spring.

FEICE lists a 2BA0 movement with 24 jewels. If the watch has been left unused and stops, it can be started by winding it manually and setting the time again. If you wear it only occasionally, some winding may be necessary.

Transparent Caseback and Small Seconds

Turn the watch over and you will find a transparent exhibition caseback. It offers a view of the moving rotor and parts of the mechanical movement. On the front, a small seconds sub-dial and a date window at six o’clock add useful information without making the face look crowded.

Hacking Seconds and Date Adjustment

The waatch supports hacking seconds, meaning the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled to the time-setting position. That helps when you want to adjust the watch accurately. The first crown position is used for date setting. As with many mechanical date movements, avoid adjusting the date during its changeover period. Follow the supplied instructions for the safest setting procedure.

Accuracy and 3ATM Water Resistance

The quoted daily accuracy is approximately plus or minus 45 seconds. Mechanical watches at this price are not meant to match the precision of quartz watches. The FM202 is rated 3ATM for water resistance, which makes it suitable for occasional splashes, but not a watch to use for swimming, showers or hot-water activities.

FEICE FM202 Review Verdict

The FEICE FM202 is an attractive option for anyone who likes straightforward Bauhaus styling but still wants something interesting on the dial. The large power reserve indicator gives it character, while the domed glass, leather strap and visible movement add to the mechanical-watch appeal.

There are compromises, mainly the mineral glass, limited water resistance and the accuracy expectations that come with an affordable automatic movement. At around ₹16,000, though, it offers a pleasing combination of looks and traditional watchmaking.
