Celkon Mobiles has listed a new handset the Campus Whizz Q42 that houses a 1.3GHz quad core processor and runs Android 4.4.2 out of the box. This is a dual SIM handset with a WVGA screen. The price is not yet disclosed.

The Whizz Q42 is just like any other quad core smartphone clocked at 1.3GHz. This most likely is using the MediaTek chipset with Mail 400 GPU. As mentioned Android KitKat runs the show with a minimal 512 MB of RAM and 4Gigs of internal storage. External micro SD card of up to 32GB is supported.

This handset supports dual SIM and sports a 4 inch screen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Q42 weight is 122 grams and it is about 9.5mm thick. There are dual cameras, a 1.3MP on the front and a 5MP on the rear. There is accelerometer, light and proximity sensors.

Additional features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS. The Celkon Campus Whizz Q42 comes with a 1400 mAh battery and it could be priced at under Rs. 6,000. The handset will be made available within few days.
