This handset is using a plastic body with a metallic finishing. Build quality is good and especially the rear side is quite attractive thanks to the diamond type texture.  Now this texture looks great from different lighting angles.  Picasso is available in different color options.

  • Nenamark 2 – 54.8fps
  • Internal storage Speed – Read (105MB/s), Write (42MB/s)

Gaming

I played Asphalt 8, the game was playable in high visual quality mode but with some minor lags. It played well in Medium visual quality mode (check video review).

Camera

There is 8MP camera on the back and 8MP on the front. Both front and back cameras come with LED flash support. Rear camera can shoot FHD videos. Camera quality is just about okay, and also it is a fixed focus camera.

Others

Loudspeaker sound output I felt was a little lower than when compared with other handsets. I did not find any issues with 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. In-call sound and signal strength / quality was good.

Battery

There is a 2500 mAh removable battery that does a decent job. On a full charge you can expect 4 to 5 hours of continuous moderate to heavy usage. With mixed usage you can expect over 24 hours of backup.

Battery Performance (time / battery % drop / battery temperature).

There was some issues with battery temperature reading, ignore that, but in general the handset was warm not really hot.

  • Running Benchmark app – 9 minutes / 3% / 25 degrees
  • Played Asphalt 8 – 11 minutes / 4% / 25 degrees
  • FHD video playback with full brightness (WiFi /3G on) – 15 minutes / 6% / 25 degrees

It took me 3 hours 5 minutes to charge the handset using wall charger from 16% to 100%.

Verdict

BluBoo Picasso is a good looking handset loaded with decent hardware, unfortunately with a bad camera. Still not a bad option for $59.99 but this is with 3G support. However it is better to go for 4G enabled smartphones for some extra price.

Picasso is available for $59.99.
