After launching the Wammy plus tablet with built in 3G, Wickedleak have now launched another 3G tablet called the Wammy Ethos tablet at an attractive price tag of Rs. 8,999. The Ethos 3G tablet comes with some added features that were missing on the Wammy plus tab.
This tablet too sports a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen with 800×480 pixels resolution. It sails on a 1.2 GHz processor with 512MB RAM. The internal memory included is 4GB with micro SD card support. The Wammy Ethos runs on Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) a.k.a. Android 4.0 OS.
The tab supports 3G via a built in SIM slot, you can use it like a phone. Unlike the Wammy plus tablet (with Bluetooth missing), this one support Bluetooth. A 7 inch tablet is too big to be used as a phone and a Bluetooth option is highly recommended. You can connect any Bluetooth headset with this tab.
There are some new features added like Wi-Fi / USB Tethering (Hotspot support), stereo speakers etc. Other features are Wi-Fi, HDMI port, mini USB port and 3.5 mm jack. There is no GPS. The Wammy Plus came with dual cameras whereas the Ethos comes with only a front camera of VGA resolution, but with a higher mAh battery capacity (3500 mAh).
The Wammy Ethos is priced in India at Rs. 8,999 without tax, with tax it will cost you Rs. 9,298.

Wammy plus is for sale!!!
Yesterday, I have received my wammy plus tablet. I am excited by looking at the features offered by this tab. It is really nice to have tablet with built-in 3g support with wide varieties of providers. However, my basic expectation is to replace my mobile but this tab is not a 100% replacement for mobile.

I bought wammy ethos 7, the tab is good but unfortunately I couldn’t find a pouch that suits this tab. even wickedleak doesn’t have in their website. Please suggest me to get a pouch that suits wammy ethos 7 1gb ram version.
The funbook pouch is a suitable option for wammy ethos, priced at about Rs.350 in bangalore market

Can it support 1080p videos?
Hi I downloaded the MX player which did load the 1080p video but could not play using the hardware decoder, I tried the Software decoder in normal and fast mode it did show the video but was not at all smooth and out of lip sync. This phone can play 720p video but not 1080p.
what all things are included along with the tablet on ordering(except battery charger,reading manual).and in case there is some defect or problem after using it for few days then what is the procedure?should i go to wickedleak branch near me or something else?

Accessories include , ear phones and pouch as well. In case of defect you can contact us and we will arrange a pick up or you can drop it closest DTDC or Bluedart Branch. they will send to us and after service it will be delivered back to your doorstep.

Yes true. GPS is missing on Ethos, I wish it was there.

Map apps can be used. but there is no GPS

my basic needs are web surfing(3g), maps, mails, ms office, calls, skype, ebooks, games and watching movies.. do you think this is the best tablet at this price range (8k- 14k)?? can you suggest any other tab with such features at this price range?
