VeeDee D13 is powered by Cortex A8 Boxchip A13 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Mali 400 GPU. The D13 is priced at Rs. 4,990 and has got an impressive benchmark score.
Yet another low cost tablet released by veedeedirect.com, the VeeDee D13 which will compete with other tablets, price & performance wise. There are many tables between the price ranges of Rs. 4K to Rs. 6K, but the D13 is not only cheaper but also performs better than almost all the other tablets in the same price bracket. Read the full review and watch the Unboxing video / Hands on review to find out.
Box Pack
The VeeDee D13 box pack contains the D13 tablet, user manual, the power adapter for charging and USB to micro USB cable. Now on other tablets we usually find the mini USB port but on this tablet it’s the Micro USB port, similar to what we find on almost all handsets today.
VeeDee D13 Design
When you hold the tablet it gives you a completely different feel, good built, seems tough and light weight, you will experience this only if you have used or had an hands on experience on multiple tablets. This is because of the slim design. Though it is still a 7 inch tablet it is a bit smaller as compared with other tablets. The display screen is perfectly in the center unlike on most tablets where you find extra space on the right side which is also shared by dedicated buttons.
All the buttons, ports and charging point are placed on the right side. There are no buttons on the other 3 sides or on the front screen. The power buttons and the volume rockers have found a place on the right side. It’s a smart design. This tab is using the A13 processor that does not supported HDMI port and hence that is missing. There is a front VGA camera like on all tablets which works well with Skype. The Micro USB cable end is ‘L’ shaped which obstructs the 3.5mm jack, in case you want to watch movies via pendrive and also use the earphone.
Hardware
As mentioned this tab comes with a different processor the boxchip A13 (cortex A8) clocked at 1.5GHz but the quadrant benchmarking tools shows it as 1.2GHz. Add to it the popular Mali 400 GPU which will keep the gaming users happy.
Specification wise other features are identical which include 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and micro SD card support. There is the G-Sensor for 3G gaming, 3.5mm Audio port, Wi-Fi, USB, full HD support and external 3G support. This tab is a little more powerful than the other tabs in the same category. There is also built in Speaker (1W).
Software
The VeeDee D13 runs on Android 4.0 OS with Google play support. There are quite a few pre-loaded apps and you can always download more via play. MSN, Skype, Office documents and many other apps are supported. Multi format media player can play MP3, WMA, WAV, AVI and many other formats.
Performance – VeeDee D13 Review
I ran the Quadrant Benchmark test which gave it a score of 2394 which I am sure most of you would agree is just too good. AnTuTu Benchmark tool gave it a score of 2670. I did not find any issues with the tablet, performance is smooth and touch is sensitivity, as good as on other tabs. There is one thing I noticed and that was that the tablet did not heat-up as much as it did with other tabs.
Battery
VeeDee has not mentioned the battery mAh on VeeDee D13, in fact from now on they will not mention the capacity instead give more emphasis on usage time. Ultimately it is the usage time that is important no matter how the tab achieves it.
It took about three to three and a half hours to fully charge the battery. You can expect usage time anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. I am still testing the battery, playing a movie in a loop and from the results so far I think you can easily watch movies up to 4+ hours.
Others
No issues with the sound, its loud enough similar standards as compared with other tabs. The image rendering is good and smooth. There is a brief rendering lag when you zoom in on a web page – as seen on other tabs.
Games
I played Amazing Alex, Angry Birds Space, Shadow Gun and ASP6 all worked perfectly well and it was a delightful gaming experience.

Its true veedee launched a dual core tab pls review this tab and I ask which one I buy from mmx alpha, veedee d13,veedee d10dc,fronix star tab.
Dear Gogi,
I want to buy tablet of range up to 5000/-Rs.
Please let me know which tablet I can be buy according Best technology and feature
Kirit, this VeeDee is same as Fronix and the latest Micromax Funbook Alpha, you can go for this one.
Gogi, i recently purchased this veedee d13 that you reviewed and i have to say am totally deceived by your review….you doing a good job and i join everybody to appreciate you for that….Firstly based on your review video and mostly the bench quadrant value for the veedee d13 you said in your video i purchased one and received it yesterday, and the quadrant value is totally LESS than what you said….the value was 1965 different from 2394 you got, i think the piece you got for your review is totally different from the mass produced one, thats only the reason why there is much gap and difference in the quadrant value….I only bought it, based on the benchmark quadrant value, and am so so so disappointed with it, because i could have gone for other tablet in the range with better design even with the same performance. Gogi please try to use market samples for your review unlike special review piece Thanks…
Kumar, thank you for the feedback, the benchmark scores are not very reliable, try again and the value will be different, try with 3G dongle, with Wi-Fi on and the value will be different. Just cross check the specification if that matches as per as seen in my video. Try a reset and download the quadrant tool with wi-fi on and do not use any SD card and do the benchmark. That is what I do for all devices so the pattern I follow is the same. Let me know if you see a different result.
I usually prefer to buy the products rather get a review piece, but its not possible for now to buy each and every product, but in the future that is my plan.
you are absolutely right kumar, actually veedee do some tweaks to the o/s so that it gets optimize for a particular TAB. Also dey just do rebranding of some chinese TABS,so you will never get same performance from all the TABS. I am using their flagship device D10 which is now become a piece of crap. Its battery is gone, they are not replacing it,even i am not able to send the TAB back because no courire company(i checked it with DHL,BLUEDART,DTDC) will send TAB with battery to any place. You can also confirm it with any of those. And mind you I am still under so called PICK n DROP warranty. They are not allowing me to write any thing on their forum, their customercare has deleted all my support tickets which I have raised. So i have to go to GAFFAR market in Delhi to get it repaired and now i am using micromax battery in it. This is just to share what happened to me. If you want any other info please contact me on abhisheks.sharma28@gmail.com.
hello gogi
I saw the review of veedee d13 tablet and I am looking for a tablet till 5k and was thinking about buying this one but after reading comment and experience of rupa, dipti and sandeep I am in a confusion. I am planning to buy it from ebay. Plz help.
Sameet, you can either call VeedDee and see their response. Also if you are staying in the same city then you can go ahead. Or if still not comfortable look for other options.
Never buy tablet from this seller veedee he is such an rude person. I had brought veedee 10 tablet after 6 months tablet stopped working. Now seller refusing to repair it back though still it is covered under warranty.
I completely agree with Sandeep. Devesh is such an arrogant person, they are looting on the name of free pick and warranty. VeeDee is such a poor company, it can't afford to pay for free pick and warranty. They also know what they are selling that's why they are not selling products via Ebay except for 2-3 models. We also wasted money by making a purchase from VeeDee. Guys, please purchase only those products online, which have good network of service centres otherwise you will get trapped.
hai sandeep,
I wud like to buy this tab.But I need to know about their service. Also what about the lasting? After 6 months,Is their any chance for complaints?
which was your tab?
Regards
viju
Hi I want to buy a tablet below 6k to 7k with gsm sim slot and with front+back camera. Plz suggest which is best for me. Mail me at palei.biranchi@yahoo.com
When I use it for first time will it ask for any online service. I have no 3g or wifi.
We have enabled Live Chat on our website. It will be available Monday to Saturday 10.30 to 6.30.
Hello,
Our customer service numbers are active between 10.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Mondays to Friday.
Some times due to high call volume, you call may go in call waiting and you will hear a ringing tone. Please call back or leave a message on veedeedirect@gmail.com or support@veedee.in and you will get a call back within 2 hours.
Currently the D13 is supporting unlocked GSM modems of Huawei Make. A customer has reported the EC159 Reliance CDMA modem working we have not yest tested the same.
Devesh
Rupa you can try 9323687024 (VeeDee).
I called up to their support center (022 28015755), but no body picked up, it makes me doubtful about their service.
You are right Rupa. If you haven't purchased anything yet from VD, then they will reply soon or if you had already purchased then its your headache to contact them again and again, they are least bothered about their customers. They hardly provide any free pick or like that. We have wasted our money by buying a tablet from Veedee. You can take a chance…
They don't have live chat facility like wammy and no cod option what do you say gogi? I am confused between wammy and veedee.
Rupa, both are good Wammy and Veedee, this is a bit cheaper, but if you are not getting any reply, I will suggest you go for wammy, call them for any doubts.
Does it have hdmi port?
A13 family does not support hdmi (no hdmi port). Also, it does not support ZTE & cdma data cards.
Which is better BSNL Pantel T-Pad IS701C vs VeeDee D13 vs iberry auxus 01
I guess iberry auxus ax01 is a better option. It has a 1gb ram, hdmi port and better customer support.
I am seeing that the tablet is compatible with ZTE AC2736 (Reliance Netconnect+ broadband – EVDO / CDMA type). Can this be confirmed? If so, it looks good.
S V Swamy, you can confirm this with VeeDee (http://veedeedirect.com/) via chat or phone call. The tab is really good worth the price.
Hai Gogi,
pls tell me that,Is it worth when comparing to wammy 7?
Also what about sound quality and camera?
Both tabs are different one is on A10 and this one is A13 processor. Performance wise this is faster. Sound / camera quality is almost the same on both or any other tabs in the same price range.
Does this have flash player, pdf reader?
I want to buy a tablet I can afford only a maximum of 6k so which one is good and suggest me is this tablet good to buy?
Hari for 5K the VeeDee D13 is just too perfect, go for it.
plz make a review of iberry auxus ax01 it looks like a very good tab!
