I have been using the Thesis theme for a long time and today when I make some changes using the Thesis Site Option menu I got the error saying “Oooh, Exciting!” It’s time to upgrade your Thesis with a big green Upgrade Thesis button. I next thing I did was quickly check my site and found that though it was working properly the menu’s were missing.
I am sure some of you might have encountered this error but there is no need to panic as you can fix this error in a matter of few seconds. Now before I give you the solution let me explain why you may be getting this error.
Upon inspection I found out that not everyone, who may be using the Thesis Theme will see this error, in fact this had something to do with the W3 Total cache that I am also using. I am not sure if other WordPress cache plugins may cause the same problem.
For those who are new, the W3 Total Cache is an advanced plugin that is very popular and is the best caching plugin for WordPress. If you get a lot of traffic on your site you should use a cache system that not only speeds up the whole site but also saves bandwidth and server resources.
Okay so now, the solution to the Problem
It’s simple just clear the Cache (Empty All Caches). Login into your WordPress as Admin and then launch the site on the top Admin bar right corner mouse over on performance and click the Empty All Caches. Then check the Thesis Site option again and it should be working. In case the problem still exists you will need to re-install the thesis theme.
