Amazon needs no introduction; the world largest online retailer is gearing up to open their online store in India. The Amazon website for Indian users most probably will go online this month and even if there is a delay you can still expect the launch before mid 2012.
Whenever the Amazon India website goes online you can expect it to be filled up with top brands and probably with unique offers to mark the opening. As per reports the website will showcase android tablets from top brands and within few months Indian users will also be able to buy the Kindle Fire one of the most popular gadgets in the U.S.
Many Indian users were using the amazon.com site for specific products that were available only on their site with shipping option to India. This process was not only time consuming but also a bit costlier as extra taxes were applied when shipping into India.
With Amazon India hopefully the cost will reduce especially for gadgets like the Amazon Kindle and Kindle fire which many Indian users are keen in buying. Kindle fire is priced at $199 which comes to approximately Rs. 10,200. The Kindle fire comes with a 7 inch screen with 11.4 mm thickness. The battery live is excellent over 8 hours of continuous reading or 8 hours of video playback. The Kindle fire comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, USB options and is more than an ebook.
So stay tuned for more information and the Amazon India launch, when that happens.
