Hi you can buy Sony or Cannon depending on the price. Go for the one that supports full HD recording. Also do compare the built in storage. I like the Canon LEGRIA HF R306.

Sayali, for 15K you will get camcorder with DVD type recording, look for at least HD mode. It will cost a bit more but you will not have to look at any camcorder for a very long time. 720p or HD is what is preferred today. Full HD is 1080p (but this will be over 23K). Just visit the camcorder shop and check the demo models. The best brands are Sony, Cannon and Panasonic.
Many options to choose from. Menu style is very user friendly. The biggest problem for me was picture quality.
I like Sony HDR-XR550 Handycam. It is very attractive and it has amazing features. I know that, Sony providing a standard products. So, In future, I will buy this Handycam.
