I was looking for a portable Hard Drive and got the Seagate Backup Plus Slim from Amazon for Rs. 5,899. And since the product has already been delivered and am already using it for quite some time, here is the Seagate Backup Plus Slim review (2TB).
My laptop houses a 1TB hard drive. I have started making a lot of videos recently and as of now hardly left with free space, around 90GB free. This also had an impact on the laptop performance. Hence I decided to get an external storage device to put all my videos on that and free up the internal laptop storage.
I ordered the Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB variant. Now there are different options available you can go with 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 5TB, the price will change accordingly. This Hard drive also comes in different color option.

Performance
This portable drive comes with some pre-installed files. You will see them when you connect the device to your PC. Run the app and it will take you to the Seagate website and register the product – for warranty. You will also get option to download special software that will help you back up your system on this drive.
Since I bought this portable drive for video content, I skipped the software part. The Seagate Backup Plus Slim (2TB) is light weight and comes with a special cable. Plug in the USB end into your PC and this drive will get power from the USB.
For best results plug it into the USB 3.0 port, it is backward compatible, it will work on USB 2.0 ports too. But for faster transfer rates better use USB 3.0. I got this portable HDD cause my laptop does have a USB 3.0 port.
So now I am saving all my video files on the external hard drive, this Seagate Backup Plus Slim with 2TB Space. The laptop performance has also improved as internal storage free space has increased, since all video files are now moved to external portable HDD.
Verdict
If you need additional storage then better go for such portable storage HDD. The Seagate Backup Plus Slim is a very good option and comes in multiple colour options and capacities.
