Samsung Galaxy S Duos (S7562) has been announced, this 1 GHz powered dual SIM android phone looks similar to the S3. The price should be quite affordable looking at the low powered 1 GHz Cortex A5 based processor with Adreno 200 GPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S Duos has got that classy look and one might easily mistaken it to be the Samsung Galaxy S3, however this dual SIM handset has been made for low budget consumers with almost all of the power stuffs removed. It runs on the Android 4.0 OS.
This handset houses a 4 inch touchscreen display, yes a capacitive touchscreen with 480×800 pixels resolution with 233 ppi supporting 16M colours. The Galaxy S Duos comes with just 512MB RAM with 4Gigs of internal storage and of course the microSD slot to add up to 32GB cards.
The Samsung Galaxy S Duos supports 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB. There is this 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash coupled with the built in GPS to provide the Geo-tagging feature.
The chipset used is from Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM7227A) Cortex A5 clocked at 1GHz coupled with Adreno 200 GPU. Performance wise do not expect too much from this handset. There is GPS plus built in radio (FM).
The Samsung Galaxy S Duos weighs 120 grams with 10.5mm thickness. A 1500 mAh battery is used (li-ion) that should give a decent standby time of about 10 days and talktime of over 5 hours. For heavy users the handset should last for over 1 to 2 days.
The release date in India and the price is not know but I believe the price could be well under Rs. 15,000. That way it can easily complete with the other low cost brands like Spice Mi-425, Karbonn A9 etc.

Is there any issue about galaxy s?
Hi Gogi! I am planning to buy a phone under 15000. There are two phones, I am confused about. Galaxy s duos and sony xperia j. Basically I am not a gamer. I want to read e-books, watch youtube and play music on the phone. Please suggest!
