Samsung will launch Galaxy Note7 on 7th October in India; no this is not a repeat telecast, but a re-launch of the same product with battery related issues being sorted out. Samsung had recalled the Note7 because of serious battery issues.

After the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note7 many users started facing issues with their units related to the battery, the handset heated up abruptly and in some cases caught fire and even exploded. After confirming that there was an issue the company started a major recall.

The impact was so big that even Airlines were issues notices to request passengers to switch of their Samsung Galaxy Note7 when on-board and strict instructions not charge those handsets even in off state. Thankfully the Note7 battery related issues were confirmed before the handsets actually went on sale in India, as a result the sales were delayed.

Those who pre-booked the Note7 in India were given option to wait or go in for a refund. Samsung will now re-launch the Galaxy Note7 in India, again, on 7th October 2016.

As per the source it will be a big re-launch to counter iPhone 7.
