Nokia Asha 206 Dual SIM with easy swap SIM slot available for Rs. 3675

The Nokia Asha 206 now joins the Asha family with a price tag of Rs. 3,675. This low cost hot swappable dual SIM handset is powered by Series 40 OS and sports a 2.4 inch QVGA screen.

Just like the Nokia Asha 205 the Nokia 206 also comes with hot swappable SIM slot 2. You can change the SIM without restarting the phone. This bar type phone with alphanumeric keypad is 12.4 mm thick and weighs less than 100 grams (91 grams).

The non touchscreen LCD display is 2.4 inches with resolution of 320×240 pixels (65K colors). The Asha 206 comes with 64MB storage with micro SD support. The phone can hold up to 1000 contacts in the phone storage.

There is a 1.3MP rear camera with video recording support. There is no front camera. The video / still photo quality is not worth talking about. This is a basic handset with minimal features so do not expect too from it. There is no 3G, but you can use EDGE or GPRS. There is no Wi-Fi either (you don’t need it). Other features included are Bluetooth, FM radio, JAVA support, USB 2.0 and social networking ready (Twitter / Facebook).

    gogi sir , yesterday i used nokia lumia 620 and i fell i m using a 50k mobile. the clearty and feeling was assome. windows 8 mobile fellining is diffrent from androide.
    just waiting for nokia lumia 520. whats your opinion?

      do you know anything about the “other” memory problem, where reserve memory grows, without any option to reduce it other than through factory reset.

    Point to take into account. It does not have USB port, so no charging in laptop and no internet with USB cable as cannot connect with laptop.

      100% correct Piyush, but this handset is for those who are not tech savvy. Probably the person using this may never need it connected to PC etc.

    I want to know that samsung and micromax having same processor,screen size and same battery i.e 1450 mah
    but talk time is much better in Samsung-6 hrs and micromax.-4 hrs. why ?

    second,can we get battery for mobile after using 2-3 years.

      There are other factors too like if there is light sensors / brightness level etc. Another reason could be the OS which is better tweaked on Samsung handsets.

    Hi gogi,
    currently using nokia 206 dual sim.(₹. 3450 from local store)
    PROS:
    1. Good for net surfing, facebook, mail.
    2. Very good earpiece and loudspeaker sound.
    3. Very Good screen light and colors.(downloaded and using various themes)
    4. Build quality very good, strong, Feels light and slim in hand, rear part gives lumia feel.

    Cons:
    1. Image quality average.(good when taken in full daylight)
    2. Video recording poor, low fps.
    3. Only 3gp and low quality video supported, no Mp4, very low frequeny YouTube videos can be watched.
    4. Navigation buttons too hard.
    Conclusion:
    a beautiful & cheap handset with dual sim for net surfing and with few useful nokia apps.

    This news is absolutely old. I’ve purchased a black Nokia 206 almost a month ago from Flipkart. they charged me inr 3599 for the device and Nokia 205 is Also available from February.

      Absolutely true, nokia gains heavy profit from these overpriced phone. How much this requires to build i guess around 1500 to 1800.
