Nokia has announced a new camera, sorry a new smartphone called the Nokia 808 PureView. 808 PureView is a Nokia Belle OS powered phone with a 1.3 GHz processor and sporting a 41 megapixel camera, yes that’s right 41 MP sensor. This handset showed up on the Indiatimes site for Rs. 29,999 with availability in a weeks time, but now Nokia has asked the site to remove the price tag and listing stating that it is a dummy price, so lower down your excitement.
Wow I wonder if the 808 PureView is a camera with a phone or is it a phone with a camera. 41 MP camera is no doubt impressive. Images can be clicked in 38 MP resolutions (creative shooting mode) and then zoomed in, cropped and a particular area is saved (picture within picture).
The other option is using oversampling technology coupled with Carl Zeiss lens and the high density sensor. Images will be shot in 5 MP or 8 MP resolutions and then using oversampling technology 7 pixels will be combined into 1 pure pixel. This will eliminate the visual noise usually found on mobile cameras. So users can shoot high detail images in 5 to 8 MP resolution and can zoom 3X time with zero loss in quality.

Carl Zeiss Optics and best camera ever in Mobiles, but cost has dropped only upto 30k on hopeshop and 31k on flipkart, waiting for a drastic cut, minus point is symbian OS, and single sim use, any users can vouch for quality??
