Nokia today announced the new Nokia 100 and Nokia 101 low cost mobile phones. Low cost or cheap mobile phone has a huge market especially in Asia and Africa. In India low cost handsets sell like hot cakes mainly for two reasons, they are affordable and can last for number of days on a single charge.

Both Nokia 100 and Nokia 101 run on the Series 30 operating system. The Nokia 100 in a single SIM phone expected to be priced at Rs. 1,300 (€20) while the Nokia 101 a dual SIM phone may cost around Rs. 1,700 (€25).  The Nokia 101 is a bit cheaper than the popular Nokia X1-01 and consumers may have a hard choice selecting among them.

The Nokia 100 and Nokia 101 mobile phone can store details of up to 5 SIM cards with a separate phone book. This feature has been given because many consumers in India and Africa often share the phone between families.

Affordability and longer battery life is the key when targeting customers who are looking for low cost handsets. We already know the price of Nokia 100 and Nokia 101 and as far as battery life is concerned it is really good. You can expect the standby time of up to 25 days and a talktime of well over 6 hours.
