Milagrow TabTop 7.4 price and features – The slimmest tablet in India

by Gogi Rana on June 3, 2012 · 22 comments

At just 6.5 mm Milagrow has launched what it calls, the slimmest tablet in India. Presenting the Milagrow TabTop 7.4, a 7 inch tablet that runs on Android 4.0 OS. The company will also be offering free software updates from time to time.

This Milagrow tab is different from almost all other tabs. To start with it has a slim look and is 6.5 mm thin, the screen aspect ratio is different, on other tabs you find the common 16:9 ratio on a 7 inch screen but on this tab the aspect ratio is 4:3. This is best suited for working with office documents or for surfing and reading emails, if you love playing games or watching movies you may not be happy with the screen ratio.

The 5 point multi-touchscreen is of A+ grade quality that prevents finger print marks this also makes the scrolling smooth. Try moving your fingers on a glossy paper and then try on a matt finish paper, matt is smoother; well that’s exactly how the touchscreen is.

The TabTop 7.4 is powered by 1.2 GHz processor with Dual Mali 400 multi-core- GPU and comes pre-loaded with about 55 apps along with access to Google Play and a special Indian Android market app. The company also claims that it is the first tab to offer 2G, 3G and 4G compatibility, this is not built-in, but can be used via an external dongle.

Hi,

I have recently bought milagrow 7.4. Though everything is as per the specs, however I have experienced a very strange sound like that of an old running harddisk used on desktops used earlier. It is very irritating. This noise occurs every time I try and start something.. like starting skype or youtube..

Manish, when did it happen? if it happened right from the day you started using the tab then get it checked at service center / call their support and let them know. If it happened afterwards just check if you have installed any app that might have caused it. There are no physical parts in the tab hence not possible that the tab will give out the strange noise, could be some app / bug causing the output via the speaker.

Hello Gogi Sir, I am using this MILAGROW TabTop 7.4, which I have bought it from flipkart on 6th Feb 2013
and it’s working excellent but on full charge batter it works only for 3-4 hours then what so either I am using Ethernet or just making some important notes on lowest brightness then also the batter drain in above given time. As Milagrow company say that its battery life is 10hrs but not in my case. More over from last 3 days its speaker started giving problem the sound comes as same as it comes from damage/blow speaker on low volume too. So now please let me know what should be done..?

Yes it has Mali GPU 400, so there should not be a problem running it, however not sure if it will work on the 4:3 aspect ratio.

Is milagrow 7.4 4gb good tablet? What about display? 4:3 is good?

Reply

gogi June 7, 2012 at 12:39 am

Yes its a good brand, the 4:3 display is best if you will be using for reading, and working (office docs, emails, surfing etc).

Can we have such fingerprint resistant kind of coating on our normal tabs as well with glossy screens? How much would it cost and where to get it done?

Reply

gogi June 4, 2012 at 6:17 am

Hi yes it can be done but not sure of the price. I am testing the Wammy tablet, the review will be up Monday or Tuesday. It has this fingerprint resistance coating and I really liked it.
