Micromax is all set to launch the Micromax A90 handset tomorrow. The Micromax Facebook page now shows a countdown of less than 24 hours.

Along with the A90 handset Micromax may also launch the A100 which is already showing up on the homeshop18 page and the A84 which is listed on the Micromax info website. So stay tuned for some great launches tomorrow.

Micromax A84
A 1GHz powered android 2.3 phone with 10.6mm thickness and display screen of 4 inches. Other features are 3G, Wi-fu, GPS, G-Sensro, Bluetooth, 5MP camera + front vga camera and 1650mAh battery that gives talktime of about 4.5 hours.

The A90 will also be powered by a 1GHz processor (probably dual core) with dual SIM support but will run on the Android 4.0 OS. This will be the costliest phone of the three listed here, with a price tag of under Rs. 13,000. Rest features are common except for a 4.3 inch screen (Super AMOLED) and an 8MP auto focus camera.

Hi dual core is good but it depends on your usage. Dual core will improve multitasking, good for games and will load apps faster. You will notice the difference only when you use heavy applications.

@gogi:: Is there any difference between A24 and A90 except jelly bean and 0.2inch lager screen in A24?

Hi gogi, its me once again, just wanted to share some thoughts with you. I just had a look at specifications of both a90 and a100 as well the specifications offered by karbonn a24 and though they look impressive and we are overjoyed I just browsed through http://www.android-sale.com and I have a cpl of models I would like to share coz the pricing of both micromax a90 and a100 seems to be a bit on higher side considering they will support mediatek processor. You can watch the full specs there, so what I am trying to say is that even though we are overjoyed with the new phones and prices, it should be pertinent to note that these will support same mediatek processor that the above said models I mentioned. So the pricing which seems to be on cheaper side has to be taken with a pinch of salt, even though I welcome the sale of such phones and will buy one out of a100, a90, and karbon a24. Shouldn't we take notice that these are virtually re-branded Chinese phones which are sold at a bit of premium in India?

Yes these are re-branded phones and the price is high cause of taxes I guess.

Hi Gogi. Does Dual Core processors make a huge impact on overall performance or just a little bit? In my view, it can be effective for multitasking only. Comparing A100 with Mi 500, the only difference is "SINGLE" & "DUAL" core. Other than this, there is absolutely no difference at all. But if A100 launches at 10K & if Dual core doesn't make huge difference, I may go for A100. Also, have got hands on any 5" Phablet with 480 x 800 resolution like "X Fab" from NXG? Does 5" with this resolution looks too bad especially for HD games & videos? I am basically interested in these two.
I could wait for Mi 500 but my prediction is that if A100 comes with 10k tag, SPICE could drop the idea of Mi 500. Simply because in September 2nd week or so, it will not get that much response especially at 12k. They might come with something new instead of Mi 500. Spice would be thinking of this well before the launch of A100.
Also, in my views A24 might be a Single Sim phone. This automatically cuts this option for me as I want a dual Sim. Of course these are my views. Don't know the official things yet.
What's your suggestion?

Why would one buy A84 if they launch A100 at the same price?

There will be some difference, we will have to wait for the official specifications.
