The Micromax A52 is now available for a price tag of as low as Rs. 5,699. Specs wise it is similar to Micromax A50 but with a faster processor and a longer battery life. The A50 comes with a 650 MHz computing power were as A52 is clocked at 1 GHz.
It’s all about speed, better performance and a better battery life. This one too runs on Android 2.3 OS but no word from Micromax if it can be upgraded to ICS. The handset dimensions are 112 x 61 x 13.2 mm with a weight of 112 grams.
Here is a quick look at the A52 specifications
CPU: 1 GHz Single core
Memory: . 160 MB internal with micro SD slot that can hold up to 32 GB.
Display: 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen with multi touch.
Camera: Rear facing 2 MP without flash.
Connectivity: 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, UBS and WAP. 3G is faster as it supports HSDPA, HSUPA. But GPRS speed will not be that impressive, GPRS class is 12 with which you can get a speed of 32 to 48 kbps, I think EDGE network is not supported. There is also built-in GPS and FM radio.
Battery: 1280 mAh – Li-ion.
Well the performance will be better than the A50, but the A52 screen resolution is the same at 240 x 320 pixels with 256K colours. The battery used is of 1280 mAh capacity which gives a talktime of up to 5 hours and standby time of about a week.
The Micromax A52 is priced at Rs. 5,699 which is a little more than what you pay for the A50 model. The handset comes with 1 year warranty and is now available in India.

Few days back i have purchased micromax A52 and have installed some games and some funny apps like talking tom etc.. which is installed on the memory card. I noticed that when i reboot the phone the menu of that apps are disappears.. so i have searched on that on same forum and tried some of those but just want to know that is there any other way to resolve this issue.
Please let me know your comments…
Amit I have heard of this issue with reboot the apps disappear, it seems a bug with the OS.

There is a solution, touch and hold the screen when icon comes touch shortcut and then create shortcut of the application you want the problem occurs with all the android 2.3 phones when you move an apps data to sd card.

Nayan, check if the card is working using a card reader, or try using some other sd card and see if that works. If you face the same issues with other SD card take the handset to the nearest service center.

A 57 is better than any of these even upto a87, you can blindly rely on a57, I bought it and its great !!! the specs are better than any of these.

Bharat, I don't think micromax will come with the update for A52 moreover difficult to find a custom ROM for the same.

Rajat, both the handsets are 1GHz with 256MB RAM. But A52 is with a lower resolution so it will work better as compared with A57 since the hardware will take less time processing graphics on a lower resolution screen. But the difference will not be much.
