Leading E-Commerce sites (Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal) had stopped the COD i.e. Cash on Delivery services soon after the Indian Government announced the demonetization of Rs. 500 / Rs. 1000 Indian currency. These major E-Commerce sites have now resumed COD services.

Good news of those opting for COD when shopping via Amazon, Flipkart or Snapdeal, unfortunately it is still bad news if you own the older Rs. 500 and the older Rs. 1000 notes that are of no use now – of course  you can get it replaced from the banks. The demonetized notes will not work and the only option left is to replace them from bank or post office.

For now the COD option is enabled on Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal – however when you choose that option you will get a message stating that all valid notes will be accepted excluding the older Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000, users can use the new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 notes.

E-Commerce (amazon, flipkart, snapdeal) resumed cash on delivery (COD)

Some E-Commerce sites also started card swiping on delivery that will be subject to availability.
