The official website of Lava Mobiles has two new handsets listed – Lava A51 and the Lava A76+. Both these handsets are powered by quad core processor and their price in India is Rs. 4,199 (A51) and Rs. 5,599 (A76+).

Lava A51

This 3G handset is powered by quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The chipset used is not mentioned on their official website. Android Marshmallow 6.0 will be running with 512MB RAM and 8GB ROM plus micro SD support – 32GB max.

Lava A51 is a dual SIM handset sporting a 4.5 inch screen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. The camera on the front can shoot in VGA resolution and the primary camera on the back can in 5MP resolution. Rear camera comes with LED flash support.

Other features are 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. A51 houses a 1750 mAh battery. Handset is priced at Rs. 4,199.

Lava A76+

This is a dual SIM handset powered by quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz; again the chipset has not been disclosed. This handset comes with 4.5 inch screen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Weight is 135 grams and thickness is 9.3mm.

Lava A76+ sails on Android Marshmallow with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and 32GB external micro SD support. A 5MP camera with flash is packed on the rear. Front camera is also a 5MP shooter with front LED flash. Additional features are 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi.

Lava A76+ is using a 1850 mAh battery and it’s price in India is Rs. 5,599.

There are better options available in the markets, plus many Indian users are using Jio SIM and for that they need a 4G handset. There is hardly any future left for 3G handsets.
