Karbonn A9 and Karbonn A7 dual SIM android phones coming soon

For now the Micromax A50 looks like the best low cost dual SIM android phone available in the Indian market, but not for long. Karbonn will soon launch the Karbonn A7 and the Karbonn A9, both dual SIM phones running on gingerbread OS.

Specifications and price wise these are better than the Micromax Ninja, but it is just a matter of time, if these phones are released soon it could impact the Micromax A50 sales, but if these handsets are released after a month or so, it will be an advantage for Micromax, they may even reduce the price.

Well let’s have a look at what the Karbonn A7 and the A9 will be offering.

Karbonn A7 Features

This phone supports dual SIM and is powered by a 1 GHz processor with android 2.3 OS. The features are a 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with multi touch support, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, MicroSD card supported and Bluetooth.

The A7 will come with a 1420 mAh battery and the expected price is around Rs. 5,500.

Karbonn A9 Features

This android 2.3 loaded dual SIM phone too comes with a 1 GHz processor and with a bigger screen at 3.8 inches. The touchscreen is using capacitive technology with multi touch. Other features are Bluetooth and a 5 MP camera with flash.

The A9 comes with 1600 mAh battery and expected to be priced at around Rs. 9,000.

This is all we know for now, but I think these smartphones will also come with microUSB port, will support 3G, FM radio and with a built in GPS.  More on these phones when they are released, the 5 MP surely is the biggest attraction.

I need your urgent help on this, please do reply your findings soon.
Last week I and my cousin bought 2 A9 karbonn mobiles. Phone work very well. Suddenly form yesterday my both networks showing as disabled (like no SIM inside.) However SIM name can be generated the operator name in the settings. It disabled up to 8-10 hour i.e. almost whole working day.

When I reached home, both networks surprisingly came up. Today also same thing happens to me. Please Please find out any application or method to avoid this.

Mehul, was the issue on that particular day or it happens every now and then. If it happens often then could be a hardware defect, but at times our cell network also fails so make sure they are working by using the same SIM in another mobile – if possible.

Karbonn A7 still not available so will keep that out. Between ninja and Asha 202, go for Ninja because its android, capacitive touchscreen and 3G. Wi-Fi and 3G are missing on asha and its Symbian 40 OS. I don't think it will get a meltmni update.

A9 is priced at Rs. 9199 and not Rs. 6500 as it is mentioned. I think it is still a buy at 9199 as no other phone comes close to these specs at this price.
