The Karbonn A30, when announced, did seem like a better option that Micromax A110. However the specifications were incomplete, but now I have some info regarding the Karbonn A30, enough to help one decide the best one to buy.
There is no difference between Karbonn A30 and Micromax A110. The only difference is the screen size, battery mAh and the flip cover that you get. Karbonn A30 comes with 512MB RAM and even though the display screen is 5.9 inches it supports resolution of 800×480 pixels (disappointing).
A30 is powered by a dual core CPU ARMv7 clocked at 1GHz with Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX 531 GPU. The handset runs on ICS and comes with 8MP rear and a 1.3 MP front camera. As you can see the specs are same as Micromax A110, with few differences.
When the A30 was announced it was priced at Rs. 10,999 which was a good price. However the price has now been increased to Rs. 11,999.
Karbonn A30 versus Micromax A110 – Which is a better buy?
The 5.9 inch screen is too big; I would not mind going for it has the price been around the same as A110. For now you will be spending approx Rs. 2000 extra for a 5.9 inch screen with flip cover case and a 2500 mAh battery, rest all features are same as on A110, I don’t think it’s worth spending that much, I move on with my A110. The Micromax A110 is still the best buy for the price.

Karbonn A30 has HD rear video recording i.e. resolution of 720p with 30fps but mmx a110 do records video in 480p resolution… and display touch is smoother than mmx a110

The positives of Karbonn A30 are its higher internal memory, bigger battery, bigger screen and a better front camera than Canvas II. juz a tiny different is in display.

Comparing both of them, I would go for Karbonn A30 because screen size makes a difference.

I just heard abt Iball andi 4.5 which has 1 GB ram and all other similar functions like a30/a110 2. would be very thankful it you can make a comparison among the three.

Dear Dr. B. Shantanu, unfortunately this is happening with many newly launched handsets. You see there is tough competition and new models are entering the market every now and then. If you are lucky you will get it, or you wait. The manufactures have a low margin and they do not keep any stock in hand cause the trend could change.

Hey gogi I have read all the comments but will you please clarify about colour resolution I have seen mmx A110 have 16M colour which is good under this price but karbonn has not mentioned it anywhere so plz clear this doubt.
