Idea cellular has now launched the !d 4000 dual core smartphone running Android Jelly Bean and with 3G support for under Rs. 5,000. The handset is listed on official website for a price tag of Rs. 6,890 however it will be priced lower than that at approx Rs. 4,999.

The Idea !d 4000 will come with special offers from the Idea network this includes 3G data pack and free TV access for 3 months. This handset will be available in selected states in India. The !d 4000 is powered by 1GHz dual core processor (chipset unknown).

It runs on Android 4.2 over a 3.9 inch TFT screen supporting WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution with 262K colours. There is 512MB RAM and 4Gigs of internal storage plus 32GB external card support. Key features are 3G, 2G (Edge/GPRS), GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.

This handset also comes with a single primarily camera placed on the rear. The rear camera is 3.2MP resolution and there are no front cameras. The 1500 mAh battery gives talk-time of up to 6 hours on 2G and up to 2.8 hours on 3G networks.

The Idea !d 4000 is priced at Rs. 4,999 and comes with pre-paid and post-paid offers for Idea subscribers. The pricing is too high taking into account the specification. There are better options available in the markets like the Celkon Campus A35K.
