The BlackBerry Q5 has been launched in India for a price tag of Rs. 24,990. This QWERTY smartphone with BB10 (upgradable to BB 10.1) will hit the stores on 20th July 2013.

BlackBerry Q5 comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. And like most BlackBerry handsets the Q5 comes with QWERTY keyboard plus a 3.1 inch touchscreen. The capacitive IPS LCD screen supports 720×720 pixel resolution (328ppi).

Q5 sails on BlackBerry 10 OS and is entitled for BlackBerry 10.1 OS update. RAM is 2GB and internal storage is 8GB with micro SD support. This handset supports 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack. Probably NFC will also be included.

The single SIM BB Q5 is 10.8mm thick and weight is around 120 grams. There are dual cameras a 5MP auto focus with LED flash placed on the rear and a front camera of 2MP resolution. The rear camera can shoot videos in full HD resolution and the front camera can at 720p resolution.

There is a magnetic, accelerometer and proximity sensor. This handset will be available in Red and White color. There is a non removable 2180 mAh standard Li-ion that should give a good talktime. The BlackBerry Q5 coming soon for Rs. 24,990.
